L'Isle sur la Sorgue, Tour de France, Lavender

If you are just joining me, I am sharing pictures of our
20th wedding anniversary trip from this summer.
We visited the outdoor market in l'Isle sur la Sorgue.
  This place was incredible!
I can't even begin to tell you how much fun this was.
My senses were definitely delighted with all the
sights, smells, sounds, textures and yummy food!

This is an old waterwheel covered in moss.

What a fun way to spend the morning!
So glad we visited!

My man wanted to see the Tour de France.
He loves to bike, so this part of the trip was his thing!
We left l'Isle sur la Sorge with this to eat for lunch...
And drove by beautiful scenes like this...
We arrived to our location and had to hike a bit up a hill.
It was super hot.
There were cherry trees all around us,
we waited...
and waited...
and waited...
and I forgot sunscreen...
look at that red shoulder:(

and we finally see them coming...

the parade arrives first
and then lots of bikers going very fast...
Mr. Tidy was one happy dude!
After the tour de France, we drove to see the lavender fields.
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to see the lavender fields in Provence.
Purple is my favorite color, so seeing this was such a treat!

Senanque Abbey, near Gordes

little snails were everywhere:)

After leaving the Senanque Abbey, we drove by Gordes...
When we got back to St. Remy that night,
we watched the running of the bulls for Bastille day.
Such a fun night!
I miss St. Remy.
The pretty plane trees...

and that midnight blue sky...

leaving the next day to get on the train to go to Nice...
Very tired at this point of our trip, but very excited to see Nice!
Tune in soon for our trip to Nice!
