In my New Year's resolutions, I wrote that I would share a home tour this year.
Yeah! That finally starts today!
Yeah! That finally starts today!
We have been in this house almost 4 years, and
the first room we renovated was our powder room.
The powder room had cute wall paper,
but I really wanted a cottage feel in this house.
So, we decided to change it to bead board and paint.
This is the before picture:
We hired someone to strip the wall paper and lay the tile.
Mr. Tidy put up bead board on the bottom of the wall, and
Mr. Tidy put up bead board on the bottom of the wall, and
I painted the walls the color of coffee with cream.
I love the transformation.
I love the way the bead board brightens a room.
This pretty pedestal sink was already in the powder room, and

He also changed out the lighting as well.
I found this pretty antique mirror for $16 at an estate sale.

I hung vintage barn wood frames on the walls.
I love using objects from nature when decorating.
This twig wreath allows me to bring the outdoors indoors!
The aluminum tray and silver vase were thrifted.
The wooden bowl was made by an artist in the Applacian mountains.
I wish I knew his name...it is such a pretty work of art!
I found this bronze magazine holder at a thrift store for $4.
Renovating can be fun:)
So happy with the results!
